We’re Looking for a Successor to Take Over  Headrock Dogs Rescue

I’m still searching for experienced and passionate dog rescuers and lovers to take over our rescue Headrock Dogs Rescue. At 77, and after 17 years of running Headrock Dogs Rescue, I've made the difficult decision to retire at the end of this year. Time marches on and this is a huge step, but it's time for younger, stronger and passionate dog lovers to step in.

 

We're a small but thriving organisation, financially stable and debt-free, and the only operational rescue for hundreds of kilometers. We have over 60 dogs and puppies in our Healing Centre and we help care for over 60 at our local temple.

I’m looking for a couple or group who’ve lived in Thailand for a few years, have experience of caring for groups of Thai dogs such as street and temple dogs, has fundraising and social media experience and is passionate about the welfare of dogs and puppies. I know that’s a lot of skills. The work is hard with long hours and sometimes heartbreaking but there are great rewards too

 

The requirement to live in Thailand is important as you’ll need an Immigration O visa to request a work permit or upgrade to a volunteer visa.  If you already have a retirement visa, we believe that’s sufficient.

For dedicated dog lovers who aren’t frightened of hard work and are passionate about changing the lives of suffering and neglected dogs and puppies, taking over Headrock Dogs Rescue will change your life. It will give you purpose, as it did me and Thep, and empower you to not only continue, but hopefully improve, the lives of the voiceless.

 

We are well known in our local community for our free neutering program and the rescues we’ve either helped with or done ourselves. Many Thais donate food and supplies and have even organised fundraisers for us.  We also have a fantastic worldwide following comprised of many generous supporters who enable us to do our work. All these people will be handed over to you and it’s up to you to cherish and value them
